At Test IO you can receive a payout for various tasks that you can perform after registering to our platform. In the table below, we will explain in short words each task and you can learn more about the task itself by opening the related links in the Explanation row.

Task

Explanation

Bug Reporting

By reporting bugs on the Test IO platform, you can earn money! The more bugs you report, the more money you earn. However, please remember that to receive a payout for a bug, it must be approved by our Team Leader (TL). The payout itself depends on the bug type and its severity for functional bugs. You can learn more about bugs and bug types by visiting our Types of Bugs article.

Bug Reproductions

Performing bug reproductions is useful for both our Team Leaders (TLs) and customers, as it provides more information about specific bugs. By doing reproductions, you can earn money by following the steps from another tester's functional bug report and then submitting your reproduction. However, please keep in mind that in order to get paid, your reproduction must be accepted, and the bug report for which you created the reproduction must be approved by the TL. Reproduction payout goes up to $0.60 depending on the severity of the functional bug. You can find more information about reproductions in the Bug Reproductions article.

Custom Reports

Custom reports include various types of reports, such as Purchase Reports, AI Assessment Reports, and more. By reporting a custom report, you will receive a fixed payout depending on the specifics of the report. Additionally, also and in this case, the custom report needs to be approved by the TL to receive payment and the payout itself depends on the custom report.

Executing a User Story

User Stories are quick and simple tasks that you can complete to receive a payout. They are used to explain the expected behavior of a software feature or function. Typically, you will not need more than 5 minutes to execute a User Story. Just keep in mind that if the User Story is rejected, you will not receive the payout. The payout goes up to $1.00. You can learn more about this in our User Story Testing article.

Bug Fix/Report Confirmation

Bug Fix or Report Confirmations will grant you a fixed payout for the task that you have performed. There is no TL review in this case, so please always ensure that you execute these tasks properly and professionally, as the results go directly to our customers. The payout here is $1.10. You can find more information in our articles on Bug Fix Confirmation and Bug Report Confirmation.

Test Case Testing

Test Cases consist of the steps that you need to follow in order to receive the payout defined by the test case itself. To receive the payout, your execution needs to be approved by the TL. You can find out more about Test Cases here.

Bonus Payout

Receiving a Bug Like, bonus for a Paid Activity Session, an accepted Bug Dispute (if the test is archived), a bonus payout for an accepted bug by the customer, or any other payout that you receive that is not automatic (for example, an additional payout by CSM for User Story execution, bonus for Passive Payment Testing, etc.) will result in a so-called 'Bonus Payout.' You can learn more about Bonus Payouts here.
