Product Manager Anastasyia

Please tell us about yourself

Hello Test IO Community! My name is Anastasiya and I’m both testNow Product Manager and Designer in Test IO. I’m originally from Belarus, Minsk🇧🇾 . But half a year ago I moved to Spain, Malaga. So my lifelong dream to live near the sea finally came true. I started my career in EPAM Belarus around 5,5 years ago. For the first few years, I worked in a completely different field, as a Financial Analyst. But my inner voice demanded something more. Thus began my journey in UX design, which eventually led me to Test IO.

I love to spend my free time outdoors with my friends and family. I prefer a mix of active and lazy weekends. One weekend we can hike all day, and another day I will lie on the beach enjoying the sea and the sun and reading some books. I do love taking pictures very much and always try to notice the beauty around me. For this reason, I always have little memory on my phone. I enjoy visiting exhibitions and museums. I can look at the paintings of Bosch, Vermeer, or Caravaggio for hours.

I do like sports, mostly running. Recently I discovered a new sport for myself - fitboxing. It’s a mix of boxing and fitness. After these workouts, I always have a great mood and I feel very energised.

We know that you are working on the design and functionality of the Test Now application. Please tell us about your work in detail.

My work includes several aspects now: design and product management.

As a Product Manager, I’m responsible for the strategy, new features, sprint planning, user research, communication with our stakeholders (Testers), team management and support, app releases, and many other things.

As a Designer, I’m responsible for product design. The design itself can be many things and include many steps: from an idea or request to the final design. In my work, I always try to put myself in the place of the end-user and think about how and where they will interact with the product. I really enjoy this process, when you face challenges and find ways to solve them.

What innovations or changes in the application are expected in the near future?

Currently, the team is working on a very important and cool feature - Onboarding Courses. We will start with the Reproduction and Exploratory Testing courses. The implementation of them is the most challenging task that our team worked on before. But I hope that our efforts will be worth it in the end. I know that many of our testers are waiting for this opportunity in the app.

What do you like most about your job? What motivates you? What difficulties do you face?

Сonstant growth and search. You know that you can always become better and you can always find a better solution. It motivates me to move further. I do not treat difficulties as “difficulties”, I look at them as points of growth and steps to the next level.

Do you like to travel? If so, which country or city would you like to visit in the near future? What was the most beautiful place you have ever visited?

I do love traveling. I’ve just returned from my mini-vacation in Rome and I can say that it’s my favorite city so far. It was my second time there, I enjoyed every square meter of it. The city is filled with history and has so many beautiful sights that you can't help falling in love. Soon my friends and I are planning to visit several cities in Spain: Madrid and Valencia.

Do you use social media? How much time per day do you spend on social media (if you use it)?

Not much… I try to limit my time on social media and stay focused on real life. More often I use Instagram to post all those photos that I made.

If you could learn anything in half an hour, what would you learn?

Sooo many things that I would like to learn in half an hour or even a day. Maybe the history of all times and nations. I think it's very fascinating to know how people lived before and to watch how history repeats itself over and over again.

What qualities do you think help you achieve your goals?

I think stubbornness is one of them. Also, the desire for constant growth and the ability to overcome my fear and laziness. And of course faith in the best.💗
