What are bugs and which types can be submitted at Test IO?

A bug is a software-related problem. If something on a website or in an application does not work as it was intended to, this “error” is called a bug. Here at Test IO, we use the following categorizations:

All other types of problems cannot be submitted unless the test instructions state so. For example:

  • Spelling bugs 

  • Security bugs, e.g. XSS attacks

  • Bugs in a browser or operating system function. Such bugs are not related to the customer's product and cannot be fixed by our customer.

For some arguable cases that occur regularly, we have a look-up list that can be found in our corresponding article. These decisions are fixed and will be applied accordingly unless the test description states otherwise.
