Test IO Community in Discord
Discord is historically used by Test IO Community as a communication tool. By joining the Test IO Community Discord, you gain access to channels and events hosted on the server.
Initially, we recommend carefully reviewing the information in the #you-start-here channel. There, you will find the Test IO Communication Guidelines and Community Rules, as well as an overview of key channels and contacts for administrators, moderators, and other active community members.

🖥 #general channel - discussions about the Test IO platform and the Community. It is the channel for making suggestions, ask questions and leave feedback.
🌐 #community-events channel - with all the information and discussions about upcoming or ongoing events.

Test IO Community Team and Product Team Townhall - an insightful session featuring the latest updates and future plans from the Test IO Community and Product teams. We typically hold a townhall twice a year, and it’s a great opportunity to discover key topics such as recent achievements, engagement initiatives, social media development, and ask questions and interact directly with our team online.
Testing Cup and Newbie Testing Tournaments - the primary tournaments for experienced testers and newcomers, allowing them to compete with each other, enhance teamwork skills, and improve the quality of testing. In the competitions for newcomers, each team is assigned an experienced captain who provides guidance with bug reviews and descriptions. These tournaments are among the most popular and engaging events, not only helping participants gain testing knowledge but also fostering friendly relationships.
Community Anniversary - a series of events dedicated to our community's anniversary, typically featuring engaging stories from members, an entertaining quest with fun challenges, and recognition of the most active community participants.
Bug or Not Quiz - a practical and enjoyable learning resource designed to help Test IO testers enhance their skills and effectiveness in identifying bugs.

The Tech Chronicles - articles about new developments in testing, IT, and beyond.
Tigercorn nomination - we encourage our testers to nominate another tester whom they consider to be the most helpful, productive, inspiring, active.
Bug or Not Quiz Leaderboard - a post to showcase who’s the top 3 testers, based on the points they earned in the quiz in the previous month.
Ranking season, Record Breakers, Discord Promotions - a recognition of testers who have achieved outstanding results on the platform and secured top positions during the season.

Roles
In Discord, roles are a way to group server members and assign them specific permissions, privileges, and visual appearances. On our server, you’ll notice that some participants’ nicknames are highlighted in different colors. The color of the nickname indicates the role a user holds within the Test IO Community server.
You can easily view a user's roles by clicking on their nickname.
The nicknames of admins, moderators, and content creators are highlighted in shades of red 🟥.
The nicknames of project coordinators and other Test IO employees are highlighted in shades of purple 🟪.
The nicknames of mentors, onboarding managers, captains (experienced testers), and other team members involved in education activities are highlighted in shades of green. Light lime shades are used for the nicknames of participants in the Newbie Testing Tournament 🟩.
The nicknames of competition and quiz winners, as well as testers who have shown outstanding results on the platform, are highlighted in shades of orange and yellow 🟨🟧.
